Gymnast are Manchester-based duo Cathy Wilcock (lead vocals, guitar) and Chris Lyon (synth, cello, guitar, backing vocals, programming). They played their first gig at the Olympic Park during London 2012 having been selected from hundreds of unsigned acts by new music website ‘Emerging Icons’. In Manchester, they have gained the support of some of the city’s key champions of new music, including BBC Radio Manchester, Thank Folk for That/Jackdaw Social and Fat Out Promotions.
