Winner of the 'Best New Hip Hop Act' at 2004's Diesel U Music Awards; MC Aphletik hails from Long Beach, California. Aphletik (aka Jacob Oshinowo) originally came to London in 1996 to enquire about studying at University here, rather than his native USA. Returning in 1997 with the best of academic intentions, he instead ended up becoming completely immersed in the UK hip hop scene. He brought out his first record in the year 2000 together with his partner in crime Fade, self-pressed and distributed under the name PSI.
