Amy Blue are a British indie rock band that languish somewhere in the area between 65daysofstatic, Yo La Tengo, Sonic Youth and The Smashing Pumpkins. Originally formed by Simon Chatterton (whose side-project evol-i still releases material) and JP Rutter as an electronic project, Amy Blue began to explore darker and louder territories with the addition of bassist Danny Legg and skilled jazz musician Lex Sampson on drums, using drones, feedback and multiple layers of guitars to create their fuzzy noise pop. Legg left the band in 2008, replaced by Trev Hatton (ex of Lunar Jet Man).
