DEATH ZONE originally formed in 1981 when Dave Death went to a Damned gig and met up with Phil Dekay, Ash & Stringer. Dave had been playing in local band called K-OSS since 1977 but they had just split up, so he was on the lookout for a new band. Death & Ash had known each other for many years, And so DEATH ZONE were formed, the only problem was that Dave was the only member who could play an instrument, so before the band could do anything Dave had to teach Phil how to play bass & Ash had to teach himself how to bang drums in time with the rest of the raw punk noise!
