Peter Schaap (24 october 1946) is a Dutch singer/songwriter. Peter Schaap was born in Groningen. He went to college in Groningen where he majored in pedagogic
studies. He than became a teacher at a grammar school. During his study and later on in his career as a teacher he sang and wrote chansons under his alias Peter Andreas. Under his own name he began his professional career. His style went from chansons to more poular music and he recorded 4 albums and a compilation album, among his greatest hits were, Adem Mijn Adem, De Hoge Heren Van Het Dorp and Vliegen Als Een Vogel.
