St. Paul and the Broken Bones, hailing from Birmingham, AL, are a young Yellowhammer Soul band. Formed in late 2011 by vocalist Paul Janeway and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Phillips, the unit has since grown to include Andrew Lee on drums, Browan Lollar on guitar, Allen Branstetter on trumpet, and Ben Griner on trombone. Their reputation as a barn-burning live band has rapidly spread throughout the Southeast, and with a full length album scheduled for a spring 2013 release, it's easy to see why they're landing on lists like NPR's artists to watch this year.
