Kat DeLuna (born Kathleen Emperatriz DeLuna on November 17, 1987 in Bronx, New York) is a crossover artist. Signed to Epic Records, she sings songs in both English and Spanish. At a young age, DeLuna and her family moved to the Dominican Republic. While there, at age 12, DeLuna performed on a stage where she was heard by Milly Quezada who commended her vocals. However, at age 14, her family moved back to the United States, to Newark, New Jersey, and DeLuna attended the Newark Arts High School.
