Brian Acardy was an alias used by Sebastian Hoff, better known as Promo or DJ Promo Sebastian Hoff a.k.a. Promo was born on the 12th of April 1976, and started mixing very soon.
When he was 19, he already had a hit on Thunderdome IX - The Revenge Of The Mummy, his alias was Section-8 (together with The Prophet). A second big hit was a remix of the song "Don't Speak", although he did it to bully his brother who played in a band. This song he called 'Shut Up'(Shut Up! / Born Whappie!) was a huge succes, but it was not the style he wanted to go through with.
