nightowl had his own solo project in 2004 - 2005 where he released two albums, "The view from the top" and "Terra incognita", before forming the epic virtual band The X-Structure in 2008 with fellow adventurers Starrzan, Chacma and Epic Beard. In the band he sets the mood and creates the atmospheric soundscapes through pads, keys and strings.
In 2011 he joined up with The X-Structure's netlabel, Bushmen Records, and re-released his first 2 albums under the name "sir nightowl".
