Mortimer's webpage is http://www.themortimer.com Depending on who you ask mortimer’s songs are either quirky rock aka Weezer, Ben Folds or melodic epic rock such as Athlete or Coldplay. Mortimer are a five piece band based in London, UK The band were formed in 2000 when keyboardist Marco Bensi joined singer/songwriters Rich Kent and Ben Hampshire, guitarist Jonny Lord and drummer Matt Hayday. They all met at Durham University and started as a cover band playing gigs in colleges and bars. They continued playing covers whilst Ben and Rich began to write original material together.
