Prior to her debut in 2012, she was personally trained by famous Korean R&B singer-songwriter, 휘성. Ailee is known for her powerful vocals and has received high praise for her performances by the public and music industry. Her debut single, Heaven, charted at #3 on GaOn, Korea's official chart, and won "Song of the Month" for February 2012 at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards.
