Magma’s first bassist, record label creator, producer and also solo artiste with one of France’s best progressive rock album ever. Before his tenure in Magma, Laurent Thibault had played with Zorgones as far back as 68, where he had met names like Aphrodite’s Child, and had recorded an album that was not released at the time. When Zorgones broke up, Thibault formed Magma with Chritian Vander and Francis Moze (met during a pop tour ended on the first concert, the entire backing band getting fired for not playing up to the pop songstress), but he would leave in Aug 70 and return to university.
