This Gainesville, FL native brings soul to the genre of acoustic-rock and does so with flair. McCarty has wowed live audiences and television audiences alike through his already impressive career. As early as 1998, McCarty demonstrated his confidence on stage when he was a runner-up in the Conan O’Brien College Band Search. In 2002, he performed at Gator Growl for a capacity crowd of 50,000 people when he opened for Sugar Ray. In 2005, McCarty was the Adult Vocalist Winner of Lou Perlman’s “Talent Rock” contest and was a finalist last year in the popular Rockstar Supernova television show.
