Rock/pop band from Bergen, Norway, formed in 1980. De Musikalske Dvergene’s (The Musical Dwarfs!) original credo was something like "guaranteed non-ambitious rock", and they claim to have kept this promise to this day. This local cult band is still playing a catchy sixties-inspired version of pop/rock, while singing their idiosyncratic, everyday observations in heavy Bergen accent. Both the humor and the sometimes serious underpinnings of the band’s lyrics are very connected to their hometown, thus the band seldom plays anywere else.
