There are three artists with the name Kontakt: 1) Kontakt is an alias of American Producer Nik Kanter born and raised in New York City . The project, which began in 2000 and continues to this day, is more of a musical concept than dance music. It fits to no genre mostly and is very experimental, which fits right in along side his fellow producers on Army Collective Records, which he founded in 2005. Kontakt's new sound is best described as Desert-Progressive Trance or Progressive House.
