In 1989 while attending college at Osnabrück, Germany students Daniel Over and Oliver Cloppenburg met and bonded over their mutual appreciation of electronic music and dark industrial sounds and decided to try their hand at it. While pursuing their studies in economics the duo quietly honed their skills at composing their own sound, a fusion of complex brooding electro-industrial and catchy danceable ebm music under the name of Paralysed Control.
