Alexx Carnathan is 18 years old and a freshman at Portland State University. She began playing the piano at age 2-1/2 years and was taking lessons by age 5.
Alexx performs at many local events and concerts, including the annual “Ten Grands” concerts at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon. She was one of the main performers in the first three “Ten Grands” in 2001, 2002, 2003, and performed in 2007 as a 'special guest' for which she wrote a 10-piano composition entitled "Ten Grands Rag", and again in 2008 & 2009 in the “Ten Grands For Kids” concerts.
