The Bipolar Bears
The Bipolar Bears are a virtual band comprised of four cute manic-depressive bears (Wayne Brown, Harold Grizzly, Joaqui Panda and Simon Polar) based in the Underground River Cave, Palawan, Philippines. They all want to be your friends. Created by professors from the University of the Philippines, the bear quartet is an ongoing anthropological experiment on globalization, which started in March 2006. The bears were the top audience-picked artist in the Art Rock/Experimental genre at download.com from May 2006 to March 2009, when the said website closed shop and merged with last.
