Bernhard Loibner
is a composer, musician and media artist from Vienna, Austria. His musical compositions are characterized by the use of live electronics and computers as unique instruments based on software he writes himself although in his recent work he increasingly uses (computer edited) acoustic instruments. The sounds he creates oscillate between complex, 2-dimensional and harsh structures with a pulsating moment as well as continuously reconfigured rhythmical elements beyond metrical beats. A carefully composed balance between movement and quietness is typical for his musical aesthetics.
