Black Landlord is an exceptional new and unique sound in Hip-Hop today. It combines all the elements of an old Motown review with classic old-school Hip-Hop. Straight outta Philly, Black Landlord is set on collectin’ the rent. The motto -- “Rent is due on the 1st not the 5th, bitches.” The founder, Maxx, was a member and lead rapper of The Goats (Ruff House Records; Cypress Hill, The Fugees, Kriss Kross) where he became musically politically motivated and helped write their groundbreaking LP, Tricks of the Shade.
