RRRRRRR is the first Gothic Rock band from Uruguay.
Before beginning RRRRRRR, Lady Ego (leader) had previously given his voice to the band Insurrección (1986-1987), but after the band went their separate ways, Lady Ego began to experiment and develop his ideas in collaboration with others, until the first line-up of the band was defined, around 1988.
After a year of rehearsal, RRRRRRR played their first gig at the theatre "El Tinglado" in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Things developed further in May of 1990, when they recorded their first and second demo tapes: "Núbeses Peleando" and "Frío".
